Will the AnyDesk software cost me anything?
No. The AnyDesk software that you install is free. You can download the Windows console or the macOS installer. If you’d like, find out more about AnyDesk on their website.
How much does remote support cost?
$40 for the first 30 minutes (or part thereof), and $20 for each successive 15-minute block. However, if we don’t fix the issue, you won’t be billed at all.
When does the 30-minute billing time begin?
We only start the clock once you’ve accepted the AnyDesk connection request. There’s no charge while we gather your details and briefly discuss the issue you’re having.
Will I be able to see what you’re doing when you’re connected?
Yes. You’ll see every mouse movement and click, as well as anything we type.
Can I get a recording of your remote control session?
You can, but you’ll need to ask us to record it at the beginning. For security reasons, we don’t take any screen recordings or screenshots unless asked to. If for any reason we need to record or screenshot for further troubleshooting, we’ll ask you to grant permission via email first.
After you’ve fixed my problem and disconnected, will you be able to get into my computer any time you like?
Definitely not! We only make connection attempts when we have you on the phone, and only after asking your permission. For each connection attempt, you’ll be prompted to either Accept or Dismiss. Furthermore, your AnyDesk module has a log of all connection attempts, including the ones you decline or if we disconnect before you accept.
What happens if the call drops out?
We’ll attempt to call you straight back. If we can’t get you, we’ll wait for you to call us back. We’ll restart the clock once we’ve reconnected to your device. And as per our support policy, if we don’t resolve your issue, you won’t be billed.
Can anyone else get into my computer using AnyDesk?
Only those who know your 9-digit AnyDesk number can attempt to connect, and then, only those whom you ‘Accept’ will have access. We strongly suggest that you only ever accept an AnyDesk connection when you have the support person on the phone.
